Une bonne planche a besoin d’un flex progressif pour être capable de résister aux impacts (basses fréquences) lors des lourds atterrissages et être toujours capable d'absorber le clapot (haute fréquence) produit en ridant à vitesse variable sur des pans d’eau pas toujours flat.
